Components of a high-speed door

High Speed Door

Certain entrance requirements are extreme with high operational demands. High Speed Doors are automatic and programmed doors, used for quicker ingress and egress. These are larger doors with high operating cycles and incorporated with advanced safety features which enable quick and efficient flow of materials inside and outside of the building thus ensuring a substantial saving on energy costs as compared to the conventional doors.

Our High Speed Doors meet the stringent quality standards with the highest operational speed and more cycles per hour. These are widely used in various warehouses, logistics applications and industries and have proven to be good investment for their establishments.

Components of a High-Speed Door

Shutter Tensioning

Nihva Speed has developed a patented system in the field of shutter tension. Automatic shutter tension allows the door shutters of high speed doors to be optimally tensioned when closed.

This means that there are no belts, springs or other systems that are easily worn and complicated to install. The guide roller attached to the roller shutter guarantees optimum shutter tension, windproof and stability in windy conditions even in strong winds.

Light Grids

The Nihva Speed high speed door is equipped with a light grid to protect people and objects. The light grid is mounted and protected by lateral guide rails. This prevents accidents due to unintentional contact when closing the door.

Alternatively, the high speed door can be fitted with a contact plate. In this case, it can be transmitted via a spiral cable or wireless.

Crash Protection

Our high speed doors (door widths up to 5m) are equipped with collision protection as standard. The patented technology allows the door to pop out of the guide rail after a crash. In most cases, the door can be returned to the guide rails by their employees, so this technology reduces repair costs.

Threshold Bar / Bottom Seal

Along with the tubular guide, the threshold bar ensures optimal door operation and perfect shutter tension. The bottom seal is sized to balance even larger areas of unevenness on the ground, and the door seal ensures that drafts are prevented from under the door, creating a more comfortable working environment and reducing disease incidence. Reduce.

Front Cover

A front cover is standard equipment to supplement the styling of the Nihva Speed high speed door and protect it from dirt. Upon request, the door can be supplied with a fully closed drive and shaft cladding. These are legally required to protect against wind and weather and to protect against accidents on doors less than 2.5 m high.

Minimum Installation Dimensions

Optimal adjustment of individual door components provides the minimum installation dimensions. Depending on the model, the door fits in a 38 cm lintel gap.

Wind Protection

A special solid shutter pocket windproof feature is built into the high speed door. Combined with a guide coil, the door can withstand high wind loads (up to 101 km / h).

Viewing Window

Peepholes made of high quality PVC are at door heights from 1.2 m to 2.2 m. On request, our high speed doors can also be manufactured as completely opaque or completely transparent. To protect against insects, our doors can also be equipped with a continuous fly screen as a shutter material for variations of insect screens.

Drive and Control Technology

A drive and control system that is fully tuned to your requirements enables optimal door operation. Nihva Speed high speed doors can be equipped with reverse contactor or frequency converter technology. All controls can be handled with all high speed doors. Please contact us for details.
