Grease Oil separator

Oil Separator

An oil separator is a more advanced form of device for separating oil from water. Together they have an internal structure that facilitates the binding of oil droplets.

The residence time of water in the separator is much longer than the residence time of the grease interceptor, so it takes longer to separate. This removes more oil from the stream. Due to the high capacity rating of the oil separator, it can be used at a much higher water flow rate than the grease interceptor.

However, it is important to use only fast-acting degreasers in the businesses involved. Other degreasers prevent the formation of oil droplets and their separation from water. This disables the oil separator and can cause oil to leak into the sewers of trade waste.
